Positive News

On 29th Dec 2015 evening I noticed a bird on the tree opposite my house. It was trying hard to break free from the kite string and could not fly. Neighbours told me that it was entangled in the string (manja) there on the tree since 3 days.

Now it was enough to make us launch a rescue operation. We tried to reach it with help of table and bamboo sticks but could not. We gave up, there was no way to reach this bird as it was 30 feet from ground. We all went our ways, praying to God to help the bird. I went back to my shop and started searching for somebody who will climb the tree and rescue the lovely black & white bird.
It was past 6.30 and it was getting dark and chances of rescue seemed very difficult.
To my surprise, there was a customer at my shop who is known in the town as snake friend. It was as if our prayers had been heard. This customer Mr Faraz , an 18 year boy, has helped many of us in the past in capturing snakes from our homes. I asked him if He could help and He was eager to help. He immediately called his friend Mr Ashok Gupta and at 7 in the evening they

collected items required for rescue viz rope, torch , stick for the rescue operation.

Mr Faraz climbed a nearby tree. The tree that bird was entangled on was a thorny one. Finally , after two and half hours of filmy style climb, risking his life in the stunt, He managed to reach the bird and with help of a dupatta and a rope the bird was lowered from 30 feet height and the rescue was successful.

The bird is in a injured state and cannot fly. Mr Faraz was gracious to offer his assistance in taking care of injured bird for a fee days, the bird is now in his care at his home. Mr Faraz is a resident of Indrayani society   near SBI , Devlali and can be contacted at
his cell No; 9049264148.

Useful Tips for Parenting

Having observed that many of us parents who have kids of younger age  are having a hard time in parenting their kids, and  at times this subject becomes a nightmare. Here are a few tips that will help us (parents) come to terms with younger generation in a better way :

1. As is human, specially so with children, children need our touch to feel loved. It can be a gentle pat on the shoulder, a hug or a simple smile also will do. This tells a child that He is loved and cared for.
Expert studies have shown that children need minimum 8 touches per day and more if they are going challenging times.

2. Eye to eye contact is also meaningful and communication with children should be done with eye to eye contact.

3. Some moments are important for children, first when they wake up from the sleep in the morning, second is when they return home from school and third while going to sleep in the night. Our love demonstrated to the children during these three occassions daily will go a long way in inculcating a sense of being loved. This can be done through talking sincerely with them, listening to them and simple words like Good Morning and Good Night Dear will also suffice.

4. It has been observed world over that We (Parents) force them into many unwanted competitions. Be careful to avoid this and a child should participate in any competition if He is fully willing to do so.

5. Many of the subjects (almost 80%) that children are taught will not be useful to them during adulthood.
Children do have a sense of what is useful for them, and We should encourage then to choose the field of their choice for further studies and encourage them to choose the subjects on their own.

6. It has been observed in many of the studies that higher education and degrees do not necessarily mean suceess and happiness.

7. Last but not the least, Not all the highly educated people do well professionally. And not all the ones doing well professionally are happy. To be happy is not at all associated with education and degrees. It is an art that every parent ought to teach his children and this is the single most gift that can be given to our children more than anything else.
